Chief of Police to Speak at Chamber Business Breakfast
Decatur, IL - There are many challenges that face recently sworn in Chief of Police Todd A. Walker. Come to the Chamber Business Breakfast on Wednesday, October 5th to get an inside look at how the Decatur Police Department (DPD) is working to serve and protect our community as Chief Walker presents: "Facts vs. Perception of the Decatur Police Department".
Chief Walker will discuss the changes in policing and current issues facing the department including: technology, demands on officers, unfunded mandates from the State of Illinois. He will also present interesting statistical information including the number of incidents and criminal cases handled a month, drug seizures and the types of drugs they encounter.
Attend the breakfast to find out more about what goes on behind the scene of DPD's criminal investigations and patrol/administrative operations. Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. at the Decatur Club and admission is $10.00 for pre-registration and $15.00 at the door.
The breakfast will also feature exhibitors including: Air Choice One Airlines, Boy Scouts of America and Gallery 510 Arts Guild, Ltd.
