The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce Presents
Cruisin EldoThe Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce, Neuhoff Communications Decatur, LLC, and Soy Capital Bank will recreate the magic of Cruisin' Eldo on Thursday, October 7, 2010. The event kicks off with a car show from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Decatur Civic Center parking lot, featuring classic cars and a sampling of some of the hot rods that will be on display at the Hunnert Car Pile-Up. The Throttle Junkies will play during this segment and a silent auction will be held, as well as the Miss Eldorado Pin-Up contest at 5:30 p.m.
From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Cruise is on! Parking lot parties will be held at the following Eldorado Street locations:
- Just a Little Prick, 1051 West Eldorado - live music by Evan Mitchell Band and Soy City Stranglers, hosted by Paddy's Motor Club
- Firewater Café, 888 West Eldorado Street - "Best Man" mobile wedding and vow renewal services, live music by the Hitmen, "reception" hosted by the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce
- Civic Center parking lot - car show
- Speed Lube, 924 East Eldorado - DJ (mix music), hosted by the Cruisin' Roosters car club
- Complete Car Care, 925 East Eldorado - food, beverages, entertainment
- Advanced Auto Parts, 1112 East Eldorado - DJ service (country music), hosted by Show Stoppers car club
- Donnelly Automotive Machine, 1298 East Eldorado Street - Stone Soup Hot Rod Raffle ticket sales and St. Mary's first aid station
- Soy Capital Bank, 1501 East Eldorado - live music by The Still, hosted by Soy Capital Bank
- East Eldorado & 16th Street (former Steak 'n' Shake) - Monster Mash, DJ service by Nick Patterson, hosted by the Decatur Jaycees
- O'Reilly's Auto Parts, 1938 East Eldorado - hosted by Coles County Corvette ClubAll makes, models and years are welcome to participate in show. Spectators come FREE! A portion of the proceeds benefit a grant fund for Eldorado businesses to use toward facade improvements.
